How it works
- First, we visit the place.

Nine things, checked in person
On the day of our visit we check heating, hot water, damp, windows and locks, and write down what we find, good or not.

Heating
Worth knowing
Electric oil heater in the room, tested on the day. There's no central heating: the living room has a paraffin heater.
Hot water
Verified
Gas water heater. Hot water reached the shower in under a minute.
Damp and mould
Worth knowing
No mould on walls or ceilings. The bathroom window mists up after a shower: open it for a few minutes, as in most houses in Concepción in winter.
Windows
Verified
All windows open, close and latch. The bedroom window is double-glazed.
Locks

Front door with a deadbolt. The room has its own lock and key.
Internet

Not tested: the router was being replaced on the day of our visit. The owner says it's a 300 Mbps fibre plan.

Can I see the address before I book?
Each listing shows the neighbourhood and how far it is from the university. The exact address is shared once your booking is confirmed.
