What is a sealed photo?
A photo taken live on site with our camera and signed by our server seconds later. The seal records when we received it, and any later edit breaks it. Every photo links to a public page where anyone can check it.
Who do I pay?
The owner, directly, under the contract we prepare. Before publishing, we check in person that they own the place.
Are you part of the university?
No. SafeXchange is an independent company, started in Concepción.
When do real listings open?
In December 2026, for students arriving in March 2027. The examples you can see now show how a listing will look.
Can I see the address before I book?
Each listing shows the neighbourhood and how far it is from the university. The exact address is shared once your booking is confirmed.
What do you check on a visit?
Nine things: the owner's identity and right to rent, heating, hot water, damp, windows, locks, internet and furniture. Each listing says what we found, good or not.
What don't you check?
Noise, neighbours, how the street feels at night, and anything that changes after our visit. Your own sealed move-in photos cover those.
How can I check a photo myself?
Every sealed photo links to its public certificate. You can also type the record code on its stamp on our verification page.
Which neighbourhoods do you cover?
Barrio Universitario, Centro, Plaza Perú, Pedro de Valdivia and Collao, in Concepción.
